History

The Kongresshaus Stadthalle was built over 100 years ago to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the University reform of 1803 as a meeting and festival building for the local citizens. With its luxurious turn-of-the-century architecture in the “Jugendstil”, it offers a festive ambience for major events in the city. The Kongresshaus Stadthalle boasts a total of 14 event rooms with a total area of 2,500 m2, with plenty of room for events catering for 20 to over 1,200 visitors. Its showpiece is the Great Hall with its sweeping, surrounding gallery. The smaller rooms such as the Ballroom or the Chamber Music Hall are also historic gems of a very special kind.
